A second person is recommended to support the removal of the carriage from the frame.
Yes. This is the Reformer we built for city living and tight floor plans. The frame folds in half down to about 122cm long and 50.8cm tall, which means it stores away for maximum space saving when not in use. . You get the full studio-length Reformer when it's open, then your living room back when you're done.
The Original Folding has the same features and components as our non-folding model - The YR Original: a smooth carriage, 5 commercial springs (2 heavy red, 2 medium blue, 1 light yellow), a 5-position foot bar, and a three-position headrest. The difference is the hinge in the frame, which lets you fold it down for storage instead of leaving it on permanent display. Performance at home matches what experienced practitioners feel in a studio session.
The YR Original Folding has a user weight rating of 120kg and is built with a solid Maple Wood frame plus an 8-wheel carriage running on reinforced rails. It's engineered to keep up with daily use by the most experienced practitioners, not just light home sessions.
Keep your Reformer indoors and wipe the railings down weekly with a dry cloth to keep the carriage gliding smoothly. After each session, wipe the upholstery with a cloth dampened in water and a little dishwashing detergent, then air dry. Hand and foot straps can be washed in a lingerie bag on a gentle machine cycle, and rotating the springs evenly will extend their life. Leave one red spring on in between sessions to stop the carriage moving, but never leave all five engaged.
Shipping is nationwide across Australia, New Zealand and the Continental US (excluding Alaska and Hawaii). Eligible metro areas qualify for Valet Delivery, where our team brings the Reformer into the room of your choice, assembles it, and removes the packaging. Outside those areas, the Reformer ships in its crate either to your door (available in the US) or to the nearest depot with clear setup instructions, and arrives mostly pre-assembled.
