Pre and Postnatal Reformer Pilates Course
Confidently teach, modify and support clients through every stage of pregnancy and postnatal recovery.
Pilates Education | Specialisation
Teach clients most instructors were never trained for.
A standalone Reformer Pilates specialisation for certified instructors, personal trainers and allied health professionals. This course goes beyond generic "modifications for pregnancy" training, covering trimester specific programming, phased postnatal return to movement, red flag screening and scope of practice, so you can work with this population properly, not just safely. It's the first course of its kind in the Pilates Education range, sitting alongside the Teacher Training Certification as a genuine add on specialisation.

Most Reformer training gives pregnancy and postpartum a page or two. This course gives it five modules, from trimester-by-trimester programming to a phased postnatal return, along with the red flag screening, referral pathways and scope of practice that let you teach this population with real confidence.
Pre and postnatal clients are some of the most loyal in the industry, and they remember who got them through it. Fully online and self-paced, this is a specialisation you can build around the classes and clients you already have.

Frequently Asked Questions.
The course is for Reformer-certified instructors, personal trainers and allied health professionals. To enrol, you need a current Reformer Pilates Certification or an allied health professional background. It's an add-on specialisation to your existing qualification, not a standalone teaching licence.
You'll learn to program and modify Reformer sessions for every trimester and guide clients through a phased postnatal return to movement. You'll also cover the physical changes of pregnancy, including fascial remodelling, how to screen for red flags, how to work within your scope of practice and when to refer a client on.
The course is fully online and self-paced, with no enrolment deadline. It has five online modules (around 10 hours) through the YR Learning Management System, plus 10 hours of observation. Assessment is 25 multiple-choice questions and two practical tasks: a written class plan for each trimester, and a 45-minute scenario-based video teach.
The course costs $329 to complete, and existing YR Reformer Pilates students receive a discounted rate to further their education. Enrolment includes LMS access, plus downloadable video content and PDFs.
The course is available across Australia, the US, New Zealand, the UK and EMEA. It's fully online, so you can enrol and study from wherever you're based.
